Pen In My Pocket

They say the pen is mightier than the sword, and words are taken differently than you actually intended at times, with that said here is where I stand:

I removed my last post due to this very reason, I never write anything with the intention of offending or hurting anyone’s feelings, I never write to give the impression that I know anything for a fact, I simply write my opinions and how I see life, I have shared my life experiences with all of you and hopefully have not offended more people than I realize.

I apologize for the feeling of hurt caused by any of my posts; I won’t mention any names or organizations in particular to keep from adding to that hurt, I just want to offer my apology and let you know I now see how to properly write a post if I so choose in the future.

With that said I am now clicking my pen into the closed position and putting it safely away in my pocket so to say.

  3. I don't think you've ever written a post that could possibly offend anyone, Jimmy. You are always tactful and quick to point out that things are your opinion.

I also hope you aren't giving up blogging!

  5. Today is your birthday? "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JIMMY!"

The only people who could possibly have been offended, were the ones the "shoe fit". There is never anything offensive about any of your posts.

Blessings, Jimmy. (I miss you posting regularly)

  7. To all of my regular readers, it was something entirely in the background, something brewing for a while but nothing from any of you.

I can’t go into details, just know I really don't see the problem either although it struck a nerve solidly enough to cause a problem.

I’m man enough to apologize for hurting someone’s feelings whether intended or not but will not apologize for my opinions, worst-case scenario I’ll just keep them to myself.

  9. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIMMY!!! There's always someone who gets offended by something I say. I'm tired of having to explain myself. I totally understand where you are coming from even though I don't know what it is that you are referring to. Love your posts!

  10. Happy Birthday, Jimmy, although I may be a bit late!
Hey, we all say things that we don't mean or let ourselves get drawn into things so you aren't the only one. This is YOUR blog, YOUR chance to vent or let off steam, no one will think any less of you. Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
I didn't read what you wrote but I'm sure that it couldn't have been as bad as some of the things that I've written in my time!
Hope you had a great day.
    Hugs to you both!

  14. Jimmy--You are one of the most wonderful, thoughtful bloggers there are. Take out that pen, take off the cap and let your soul out. We are all the better for it.
