App For Benjamin

What do you think of all the gadgets and technology we have today, heck I remember the remote control for the TV when I was a kid, Dad would poke me and say “Jimmy get up and turn it to channel 3” now you can actually have a universal remote on your tablet or I pad.

Speaking of tablets I have a little story for you about our Grandson Benjamin, you all remember Benjamin, come the first of the month he will be turning two already, heck it seems just like a couple years ago he was born, seriously it feels like it was just yesterday we were loading up for a trip to NM because Elisas water had broken.

Now that Benjamin is pushing the grand old age of two, his Daddy Tim went out and bought a tablet for Elisa, and somehow just may have created a little monster, on this tablet Tim has downloaded quite a few Apps with games and stories to read and play with Benjamin, they spend a good bit of time doing this and Benjamin really loves it.

He loves it so much that the tablet comes up missing only to be found in Benjamin’s room with a story or game on the screen, Tim says Benjamin can use this tablet better than Elisa at times, we are considering having Benjamin show Cindy how her tablet works.

Tim made the mistake of adding his credit card information to his app store to make it easy when he find an app for Benjamin, and it appears it is a breeze for the app store to take his money, they do send an email to Tim when they deduct for a book or app, Tim also made the mistake of allowing Benjamin to sit and watch while he downloaded a few apps.

A few days ago Tim got an email stating a charge for a Veggie Tale app, Tim said he had downloaded one for Benjamin but thought it was free, later he got another for Sponge Bob, then another and another, Tim was now getting worried so he headed home to check his account, his account did show numerous downloads Tim knew nothing about.

Fifteen dollars and a download for “Big Boobs Poker” later, Tim realized Elisa’s tablet was missing, he found Benjamin sitting in his room pushing buttons at the app store, Tim did a little re arranging on the tablet for the button to the app store, he says it is now hidden but I have a feeling there is an App for Benjamin to find it once again.

Now Tim’s cell phone has come up missing and Cindy is getting Texts from his number with only random numbers and letters in the message, I have a feeling I know where his phone is.

    OMG...that is so FUNNY!

The thing that's both wonderful and scary is that I see kids using computers, cell phones, tablets, etc, who are younger and younger every year! It's like this whole generation of kids are technical geniuses by the time they hit 5 years old!

Great photo of Benjamin! I can't believe he's already two years old because I remember when he was born, like it was yesterday!

    Have a great weekend, buddy!

  2. Hahahaha! Sorry, I can't help laughing. Kids and technology... they aren't the least bit intimidated. I think the kids these days are born knowing how to do things we older generation struggle with.

Tell Tim to find that phone, quick, no telling what he could do with that!

  5. If a two year old can do these things, what the hell am I playing at...grins.

Hi Jimmy. Long time, no see. I was delighted to see you over on my blog. Thanks for visiting. I'm never sure how bloggers 'go missing' from my bloggers list. Perhaps Benjamin could help me out on this one. Anyway, now I know you're still around I'll pop in again.

    1. Bijoux, I asked Tim if he really was the one who downloaded that one, he said it was Benjamin picking pictures of things he liked Ha Ha

  8. That's too darn funny! So appropriate to our times also...One of our three year old grand kids, knows his way around an Ipad much better than I do.

    1. Hey Pat, it does appear a sign of the times, the technology this generation of kids already know is scary, heck I thought it was cool when I got my first 8 Track player, wonder how many kids even know what that is.

  9. Ha, these babies are better than us old people with apps! I can hardly figure out how to get to NetFlix on our "smart" tv, but I can find it on my computer of course...now a little 2 yr old I baby sit can find it on an iphone and then get "Dora the Explorer"...I couldn't figure that out if you paid me!
