Our anniversary falls one week after Cindy’s birthday, so with this said there is a lot of celebrating done in a one week period, looking back maybe we should have gotten married after her birthday celebration was over with rather than during it.
Cindy’s Dad accused her of “Milking” her birthday by dragging out the celebration aspect, heck just this past week we have been out to eat three different times and had a BBQ here at the house with different family members we couldn’t seem to get together all at once, and yes “Happy Birthday” was sang each time.
The timing on our marriage I really can’t explain, you know how it is when you are dating and plan to exchange vows, you really don’t think about birthdays and holidays, you just think about walking down the aisle, the timing you seem to realize later, sometimes you have to explain to the kids how they were five months premature, not that you messed up on the wedding date.
The kids once asked me why we got married one week after Cindy’s birthday, I told them that I had to wait until she was old enough so we could get married, heck I didn’t want to get accused of robbing the cradle, she is younger than me you know, and her Daddy is a Big Man.
Mexican Food on Tuesday, BBQ on Thursday, Steak on Saturday, followed by Steak and Seafood on Sunday and now waking up this morning we had to make a decision to where we will celebrate our anniversary dinner.
Sitting around the Grill in our own backyard I have to admit, I sure like the food better here.
Happy Anniversary Cindy.
