Starting The Second Hundred

I started out here as Just My Opinion, I wanted to jump in with a new blog and just wing it with no actual subject matter or even a subject to stick with, it felt kind of good to just be able to speak my mind and tell a little about myself and my family. I actually started with Blogger back in June of 2005 and have done a few blogs including one on Living with Diabetes and another that concentrates on Southern Heritage and Civil War History, the only problem with those is that each post had to be on the subject or it just didn’t look right, I thought I could bypass that with a post every once in a while titled Just My Opinion and to make a long story short this really didn’t work either and that is where the original title for Jimmy’s Opinion came in. I began looking at buying a domain name for myself and Just My Opinion was taken, my blogspot name is jimmysopinion so there you go the name as it should have been to start with because Just My Opinion is just that so we became Jimmy’s Opinion.

Jimmy’s Opinion has taken a lot of you through a few of my vents on various subjects, Gopher Hunting, Elvis sightings, wooden Indians, roller coasters, bachelor parties, weddings, horses, chickens, road trips, genealogy, diabetic situations causing me to wake up with another woman, kissing Snoopy and most of all a lot of fun with my wife Cindy and our Family.

Speaking of Family a few of you have been here from the start and remain to this day, a few of you are new followers and I hope you remain well past the big 200, 300, and so on, all of you in this little group are Family so to say at least you are Jimmy’s Opinion Family in my eyes and I want to thank you all for sticking with me because I do Love blogging with all of you and look forward to continuing on as you all make it worth it to Cindy and I.

If you haven’t figured out what I am getting at as of yet this is kind of a blogging landmark, highlight, birthday, heck I don’t know what to call it other than to tell you all this is my 100th Post, it may not be that big a deal but I was kind of impressed to see number 99 on my last one.

For a little fun I counted to see which comment was number 100 because comments are where all of you get to step in and tell me what you think, and I have been so thankful for the comments, suggestions, poking of fun, and encouragement all of you have given me, now this counting process is about official as I can possibly be I didn’t count mine and lucky number 100 is a fine example of the fun this blog has become, SuziCate from The Water Witches Daughter  commented on Oh To Be Twenty One

SuziCate said... I'm still laughing at Ron sending in Nikki the stripping troll doll...soo not what they had in mind!!! Would not want to do twenties over again. Loving life now! The only way I'd ever want to do any of it over is to be able to take the wisdom I have now with me!

Now if this example doesn’t make you want to stick around to see what will be next I don’t know what will, so stick around for the beginning of the second hundred and Thank You for being there for the first.

  12. Congrats on 100! It IS a milestone, so celebrate it. A lot of bloggers give up before they get that far. I, for one, am glad you didn't, because I really enjoy your blog. Keep up the good work, and happy blog birthday!

  13. Thank You Kristy, I think the reason a lot of bloggers give up before 100 is because they get stale on their content, one subject can get old pretty quick but with good people like you following and just talking about life in general gives us a reason to continue.

Thank You for giving me a reason to go on, this is a blessing.
