Between three and four times a day they tell me is all it takes for it to work, the people who have used it smile that smile, you know the one you only see in a parade or on the face of someone who has had one too many.
Keep it cold because it tastes better that way, and after about five days all your troubles will be over, the whole world will realign, and you just may be one of the smiling people trying to turn on all of your friends to you newly found remedy.
When you are starting to feel a little blah, and need something that is scientifically and clinically proven to get the old digestive track back in line, just look to the TV and follow the advice of the celebrity eating out of the yogurt container.
I wonder about statements given when putting a product upon a pedestal, I have no doubt that eating any yogurt three to four times a day for a week will definitely break something loose, to which you may need to look at another product to slow down the old digestive track a bit.
My question is some of the commercials of late have the celebrity pimping yogurt on the street to folks who really need it, and then she turns to the camera and asks us to try her yogurt and send in a video diary.
Now my question is does she want a video diary of me eating yogurt four times a day for a week, a video diary of the end result, or just a video of me? I say there are some things you simply should not be keeping a video diary of.
If they really want a video of people getting their digestive tracks back in line, and want it on video to prove it, I say I don’t really want their yogurt.
What is your favorite yogurt, and do you eat it three to four times a day?
Home Run with this one Jimmy!
ReplyDeleteThank You Joe, I appreciate you my Friend.
DeleteHahaha... leave it you to come up with that!
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't eat yogurt three to four times a day, but I probably should. I could stand to break something loose!
Hey Ms. A, I do like a good yogurt but that many times a day would definitely break something loose for me.
DeleteLOL; I hadn't seen the commercial asking for people to send in their videos, but I do (when it is on sale) eat this particular yogurt. That would be interesting to have them more clearly define what the video should be of.
ReplyDeleteenjoy the weekend
betty
Hi Betty, I have never tried this particular one, I am sure it is good but I always get a laugh when I see the commercial mentioning a video diary :)
DeleteI haven't seen the request for videos, either, but it does beg the question of just what in the heck do they wanta see us DOING? (Maybe an audio would suffice? HA!)
ReplyDeleteNo, I sure don't eat yogurt three times a day, but I do like it. The fruity stuff, especially pineapple, and the Greek ones. Good stuff.
Happy weekend.
Hey Susan, A video with the audio effects would definitely be too much in my opinion Ha Ha
DeleteI haven't tried the Greek ones yet, after watching those commercials I am scared my wife may turn into John Stamos so I'll just have to pass :)
When I was a card carrying hippy with hair to my waist, I made my own sprouts, grew my own wheat grass, made my own bread, and cooked my own yogurt in the closet. (don't ask) But LIKE it? It's NASTAY to the 9th degree! And I do not eat it. Not even the ones I made. I tried. My gawd how I tried.
ReplyDeleteWell at least you tried, but if it's nasty to you maybe that would be the video to send in, see how they like that one Ha Ha
DeleteOnce a day is enough for me, and only the pro-biotic type of yoghurt, and definitely no videos!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Valerie, Like you I would think once a day would be enough, a little testimonial should suffice without a video diary.
DeleteI have no clue what you are referring to, but my fave is Oikos and I eat it three or four times........a week!
ReplyDeleteI guess I should have found a link to the commercial rather than just talking about it off the top of my head, I bet you notice it next time it shows :)
DeleteThree to four times a week makes more sense that three to four times a day.
My favorite yogurt is fat free chocolate yogurt at Costco. I buy three or four of them when we shop Costco and I bring them home and put them in my freezer. They don't do my digestive system any good, but they don't do it any harm.
ReplyDeleteHey Stephen, With our health concerns the fat free lite ones are the yogurts I have to buy, as for the chocolate I have not had as of yet but have a feeling just may be my new favorite.
DeleteI'm not familiar with that commercial...don't watch a lot of TV. But I like yogurt and eat maybe five or six per week. My favorite kind is the one that's on sale, but I've made my own occasionally.
ReplyDeleteI have never made my own and the one that is on sale does go a long way in determining which one we buy :)
DeleteYopliat Key Lime Pie. And yes, I would eat it all day if I could. But as for activia... two will do me for a week. Seriously.... and I don't think I'll ever want to video diary about it.
ReplyDeleteHi Juli, I have never tried activia, but Yoplait has quite a few choices that I do like, I have to buy the lite to help keep my glucose levels down but more than one a day would be too much for me.
DeleteI'm still thinking Chocolate since Stephen mentioned it :)
As you know I don't watch TV, so I'm not familiar with this commercial, but I DO eat yogurt (and love it) a few times a week. I try to get "Greek yogurt" because it has more active cultures in it. I usually eat it with some granola.
ReplyDeleteYUM-MY!
Have a super Sunday, Jimmy!
Hi to Cindy!
Hey Ron, I am beginning to wonder if I am the only one who has viewed it Ha Ha, maybe I could do a weekly post on commercials only Jimmy saw :)
DeleteI always liked the granola added to my yogurt also and after this post I am going to have to buy the Greek Yogurt just to give it a try.
Hope your Sunday was great Buddy!
you have provided another reason for me to not watch Tv...I didn't even know I was supposed to be eating all that yogurt and yet i am still happy.
ReplyDeleteHi Annmarie, I myself would be afraid to eat that much yogurt, I like it well enough but not that many times a day.
DeleteMy kids are amazed at my lack of commercial knowledge. It seems that my brain shuts down the moment one comes on; but not all the time. I like the Haverty's girl (the first one when she gets turned on by the guy who has a plaid lining in his jacket is my fav) and there is one out where a guy wants to juggle chainsaws that gets my attention, too.
ReplyDeleteHaven't noticed the yogurt one.
Three of my 5 household members eat yogurt (I'm not one of them.) It changes from year to year. This year it's Yoplait Light.
Anita I saw the one where the man is wanting to juggle the chainsaws and for the life of me can't think what it is for Ha Ha
DeleteI think I get on Cindy's nerves at times when I notice things on TV that most people miss, a lot of funny things pass right before our eyes.
I can't either! LOL
DeleteBUT, the ad writers have got us discussing it, so next time I (and maybe you too) will listen to what it's for.
Very True, whatever it takes to get us discussing their commercials lead directly to product recognition, no I am going to be watching for it Ha Ha
DeleteAnita, It is for Progressive I actually saw it last night Ha Ha
DeleteGreat one Jimmy! Too funny...
ReplyDeleteI hate yogurt and will only eat it out of a soft serve machine like ice cream.
Some commercials are pretty cute and inventive, but most of them are stupid, nonsensical and insult our intelligence.
Hey Pat, You can't go wrong with a cone of soft serve yogurt I like that myself.
DeleteI agree the problem with most commercials they treat us like we are stupid.
