Home Again Home Again

We made it home yesterday but as you know have been busy getting things unpacked and filling Cindy's parents in on the trip, the trip home went well aside from the swarm of bees that hit the windshield forcing us to stop and clean off what looked like someone threw a bucket of snot on us, Cindy said she just couldn't see through that stuff, I bet they wont have the guts to do that again Ha Ha, needless to say the van was washed and the oil changed first thing this morning, guy at the car wash asked “What is that all over the front of your van?”, told him we are going into the honey business, I really don’t think he bought it but I did buy a car wash.

I took a bunch of pictures and threw together a slideshow that gives you an overview of our trip, I laughed so hard at a few of them, for a hint look for Dixie and her expression in between us a couple pictures after the statement "We Never Got Lost", I couldn't have staged this one if I had tried.

  3. I am so glad you and Cindy are home safe despite the demise of the swarm of bees on your windshield. It is always good to get home...especially your own bed. When my husband and I get into bed every night we say it is our favorite place in the world. Who knows I might need to devote a whole blog on my bed...another inanimate objedt I love!!
    Welcome home!!!

  5. Thanks Susie,

Funny thats the first thing we said when we pulled up, "We get to sleep in our own bed tonight" no matter how nice the motels or friends homes are there is just no finer place to sleep than your own bed.

I'm waiting for your next blog post, looks like we are giving each other ideas again.

  6. I had over 230 pictures and about half I wanted to post, Cindy and I decided a slide show would be less painful to everyone, I am happy you enjoyed it.

  7. Wonderful slide show. Weddings are a great way to get together with family and friends.

Strange about the swarm of bees. Could have been scary if the right music was playing.

    Thanks for sharing,
    Wray

  8. Ok, first I gotta tell how much I laughed at the whole "bee and honey thing" on your windshield - HYSTERICAL! And I kinda know how you felt because when I lived in Florida, I had the problems with the love bugs during the summer months. They were smushed everywhere. I literally could not see out of my window.

You're slide show was AWESOME. Really AWESOME!! Love how you had the captions throughout. Everyone looked like they were having so much fun. Beautiful church! And what a great ending!

I bet you and Cindy are glad to be home, hu?

Thanks so much for sharing your trip with us, my friend!

    Welcome back!

    Enjoy your Sunday.

  9. Thank You Wray,

Yes Sir Weddings are a time of happiness and we sure enjoyed this one.

"Could have been scary if the right music was playing." The right music sure could have made the experience exciting Ha Ha

Glad to have you join us here.

  10. Hey Ron,

It looked like a small dark cloud then sounded like large raindrops hitting the windsheild although the water went no where, we got off the freeway and got it all cleaned off and right when we got back on one hit right in Cindy's line of sight, she didn't think it was funny though.

Glad you enjoyed the slide show, the decorations in the church are the ones Tim made, and yes we are glad to be home.

  12. Thanks Trisha,

Those unwanted picture takers were all over the place, it will be fine as long as we don't get a picture in the mail from them Ha Ha

I Love the Country and the wedding followed up by the horses and garden pretty much sums it all up and it is all good.

  17. It looks like it was a lovely wedding. Congrats to you and the bride and groom. I have a family wedding coming up - my sister - and it's turned into a dramafest. I hope it settles down so we can have as much fun as you did.
