I hate to say it folks but this is going to be it for Jimmy's Opinion.
Everything is going good in our lives right now, but the stresses of everyday life is a hand full right now. I just wanted you all to know that life is good and that we are happy. We both wish you a Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays whichever is appropriate, and hope the coming New Year is the greatest ever for you.
I have really enjoyed my time with each of you and want you to know that your advice, understanding, concern, sense of humor, and most of all your friendship has been greatly appreciated, heck when I started this I thought for sure that I would be my only reader.
So for now I want to say Thank You for being who you are, and please don't ever change a thing about yourselves. I can't say if I will be coming back or not but for now I will just leave the answer as this...

I am very, very glad to hear that everything in your lives is going well.
ReplyDeleteYou will be missed, but we will keep the door open in case you decide to return.
Thank you for your good wishes - and the same to you and Cindy.
You have to do what you have to do. All of us will get to this place at some point.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 🎄🎄🎄
Thank you for letting us know what's going on with yours family and your decision to walk away from your blog. So many bloggers disappear and we can only guess the reasons why. I will miss you and your male point of view, your talented writing, sense of humor, tall tales and true-life Ray and Cindy stories. Hopefully, at some point in the future we'll be hearing "Jimmy's Opinion" again.
ReplyDeleteDon't call it quits, just "pause". We all enjoy you. Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteBlogging comes and goes in our lives...you may be back. Know that while you were here you were appreciated and while you are gone you will be missed. Joyous holidays to you as well.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to see you going Jimmy, but I do understand about life being a handful. Right now mine is similar but not everyday and I know I'll have plenty of time on my hands again once Christmas/New Year is over.
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed reading your posts and I'll miss them, but maybe one day you'll be back. If not, I hope you and Cindy continue to have a wonderful life.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
You will be missed, Jimmy, but we understand. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you & yours!!
ReplyDeleteI will miss you, but I noticed that you haven't been as active as you once were, but I'm glad it's for good reasons and not bad ones. Maybe one day you'll change your mind and come back, I hope so. Meanwhile have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI will miss all your wonderful stories about everyday life. You are such a good writer, I hope you know that. I understand though. I don't post anywhere near as much as I used to. I wish you and Cindy all the best. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteSo long for now. Best wishes to you and Cindy and Ray as you enjoy your time together, making new memories, and stories we may never read.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you let us know what's going on. I, too, will miss you - but I do understand how life gets busy and stressful. A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and Cindy!
ReplyDeleteAnd if life ever does slow down for you...well, we'll be here.
I'm sad to hear that you will be missing here, but glad you and Cindy are in a good place. All my best to you, Cindy's dad, your daughter and grandson as they start anew. Happy holidays, and the porch light will be on if you decide to come back. Take care.
ReplyDeleteMan! I hate your leaving blogger world. I hope you will visit my blog some and leave me a comment a time or two. You can also find me on Face Book or Instagram if you do those things.
ReplyDeleteHope you and your family have a wonderufl Christmas and a great New Year. Things are going to be ok.

God bless you, Jimmy, your family too. Needless to say you will be missed. At least we know you are okay. Hope you have a good Christmas and a happy New Year. Hugs from me xx
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Jimbo.

I can't tell you how thrilled I am that things are going well with the family, and that you're happy. Whenever a good blogger friend of mine is off-line, she asks that we leave the light on, so I feel that fits here. We're here if you need a laugh or a hug, and wish you all a joyful holiday filled with love and blessings! RO
ReplyDeleteAfter just discovering and enjoying your blog, I’m sorry to see you go. But believe me, so many of us completely understand “the stresses of everyday life being a handful”. It’s such a shame that that’s the way it seems to be nowadays. My husband and I were just discussing how much we miss the way things used to be. A lot more simplicity, a lot less health issues, bills, rules and regulations, etc. As much as is possible, we’ve agreed to make a conscious effort to live a less complicated, more peaceful life. I applaud you for knowing when it’s time to put self preservation into action for yourself and your family because, ultimately, if we don’t look out for ourselves, it’s so easy to become overwhelmed. Perhaps someday you’ll find yourself at a place in life where you feel relaxed and comfortable enough to begin posting on this blog again. If and when you do, I’ll still be here. God bless you and your family, Jimmy. I know He’ll be there to guide you along your way......
ReplyDeleteAw, I'm always sad to see a blog friend go, but you do what you have to do Jimmy. I'm glad things are going well, and I want you to know that I've enjoyed reading your posts over the years - ups and downs and in betweens. You're good people, Jimmy. God Bless.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a Merry Christmas and will come back one day. At once I was posting 3x a week, that burned me out quickly.

We all have to beg off once in a while. It's okay to leave and it's also okay to return. The important thing is doing what is right for you and most comforting.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say goodbye, too. I will miss your blog. Last year was a rough one for me, with my dad going slowly downhill with the dementia, then hospice and then losing him. Now I'm battling my own health issues. So, I do understand the need for time away. I will keep you in my reading list if you ever come back. XO to you and Cindy.
ReplyDeleteIt's a new year, and I thought I would pop over to say hello to you and the family. Lots of hugs and blessings! RO
ReplyDeleteJust checking in to make sure the family is safe and well. Hugs, RO
ReplyDeleteWe are doing well and hanging in there RO, hope everything is good with you.
DeleteHow are you doing, Jimmy?
ReplyDeleteHi Bijoux, Wow it's been awhile since I posted this, we are hanging in there, a lot has happened in the recent past but we are still in good health, and still in the same place for now. How about you?
DeleteI’m really glad to hear your health is good, Jimmy. Things are fine here. I have 3 grandkids now. Can you believe that? Just wanted to check in and let you know you are missed!
